Recommending design modifications to ensure manufacture by the most favorable method;
Investigating manufacturing operations to determine areas for process improvements;
Providing engineering advice, compiling data and determining probable costs for process improvement projects;
Developing and implementing plant and equipment layouts to accommodate changing needs;
Working for standardization of procedures;
Resolving ergonomic issues in production and taking appropriate action to protect personnel and property.
EDUCATION: 4-year degree required; Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
3
years of manufacturing experience in a machining and tooling environment;
Comprehensive knowledge of engineering principles, methods, and various processes, tools and related manufacturing equipment;
Experience in fluid power technology, hydraulic cylinder, plating, casting, grinding, cutting, turning, milling, NC/CNC machinery and program languages, CAD/CAM;
ERP/MRP applications experience and computer proficiency including MS Office Suite;
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
